Alchemy is your typical club: long lines, lots of club-like people (i.e. pushy and belligerent), but for what it is, Alchemy isn't the worst I've seen and certainly one of the better clubs in New Haven. There's nothing that really stands out about Alchemy, however, it has everything your typical club has: lots of drunk, dancing people.

The two levels makes it different than most places and you can generally move around even though there are a lot of people that go, because the space is so large. One is mostly for dancing and the other is mostly for lounging around and hanging out. People even travel from Hartford and other far away locations to come to Alchemy, so certainly some people must love it.
