With so many better choices in New Haven, I wouldn't spend time checking out Bottega. They try to be a lot of things that they're not: cool being one of them. They're really just a basic place with nothing special about it.

I've often gone there with groups of people, because for some reason whenever there's a group event to go to... it's at Bottega, which I don't understand at all. The feel of the place just rubs me the wrong way, the drinks aren't anything special, and the inside is very plain.
