I went inside Gotham once, but only for fifteen minutes or so. This isn't to say that Gotham is bad -- I didn't have a chance to experience it -- because I went on a Tuesday night and that was ''Gay Night'' (their words, not mine). I didn't know it until having stepped inside and after having paid a cover fee of about $20 that the doorman wouldn't give me back. And, that's my experience at Gotham Citi.
