I have to say that I really don't like viva's. Viva's is one of the dirtiest, sketchiest bars in New Haven. It's also in a crappy part of town that isn't great to be in late at night. The only reason people come to Viva's is because they are fairly lax in terms of checking IDs. Hence you will find a lot of underage college students at Viva's on Thursday nights. The beer is pretty much undrinkable, and the other drinks aren't great. Get the sangria if you are at viva's, it's ok, or better yet just go to Bar instead.
